Aero Racing Engines is a sub division of Aero Precision Machine located in Julian, North Carolina.
Our goal for creating Aero Racing Engines is to manufacture, assemble, and sell the N-40 engine for use in RC Pylon racing.
The owner, Mike Langlois is an aviation enthusiast and has flown model airplanes most of his life. He started Aero Precision Machine in 1992 and has been manufacturing precision parts for commercial & military aviation, pharmaceutical equipment, and various machine components for many industries.
Since its inception, Aero Precision Machine has grown into a very capable manufacturing facility that incorporates leading edge machining practices paired with top quality tooling on modern CNC equipment that is more than capable to hold tolerances for N-40 components. We are continually improving and typically adding at least one new piece of CNC equipment each year.
OUR MAIN GOALS:
1. Provide an engine that mirrors the performance and consistency that Henry Nelson has provided for the past 20 years.
2. Provide excellent customer service and maintain inventory to meet customer demand for many years to come.
3. Promote all facets of pylon racing and support the community.
Along with manufacturing engines, we want to focus on promoting the sport of pylon racing. Part of our efforts in this is hosting several RC pylon racing events each year at our flying field. Anyone interested in participating, visit www.oldjulianairport.org
